Sponsored by Verizon, this site has a wealth of K-12 discipline specific, standards based educational resources that are reviewed by the nations leading organizations and is endorsed by NEA. Allows search by grade level, keyword, activity type and content partner. Search lesson plans, inter-actives, primary sources, worksheets, reference materials, media and assessment tools. Map Quest – Type in the start destination and end destination and get driving instructions and a map. www.mapquest.com

Maps On Us – This site does exactly what Map Quest does, and when I tried this one after trying Map Quest, I got different results in hours for my trip although the roads chosen were exactly the same…what a terrific comparison and contrast exercise involving math, and map skills! www.mapsonus.com
