Mr. Carlson and Mr. Kornaus want you !

 

Open to students in grades 9-12 - Quarter course-1/4 credit
         Classroom instruction deals with driver attitudes and physical characteristics, traffic laws and rules to live by, laws of physics related to driving, the automobile and its maintenance, alcohol  and other drugs as they relate to driving performance, good pedestrian practices, and development of safe driving skills.  Parallel offering of Behind-the-Wheel Training offers practice driving instruction preparing students for the road test examination to obtain a probationary driver's license. Behind-the-Wheel not required for credit.

Behind the Wheel Driving -  Students are responsible for signing up and attending their Behind the Wheel portion of the class.  Driving times vary throughout the day and evenings from September through the end of June.  There is no Behind the Wheel during the months of July or August.  Anyone not completing their Driving time by the end of June can schedule more Driving time when school starts in September.
 
Instructors
Mr. Lee Kornaus: Mr. Kornaus grew up in Green Bay, WI. He went to UW-Stout where he got his bachelors degree in Technology education. From there he went to UW-Milwaukee, where he got his masters degree in Psychology/Counseling. Then he went back to UW-Stout where he got his degree in Drivers Education. After graduating from U. W. - Stout Mr. Kornaus  came to Oconto Falls where he taught Technology Education. Now Mr. Kornaus is a Guidance Counselor for Oconto Falls High School and a part time Drivers Education teacher.
 
Mr. Donald Carlson: Mr. Carlson grew up in Michigan. He graduated from college in Michigan. After college he moved down to Texas, where he began teaching 6th grade. After teaching 6th grade he began teaching Drivers Education in 1990 in Pasadena, Texas (outside of Houston).  He was teaching in Texas for 20 years until he came across a job opening that he found on the internet. His family and friends live in the Upper Peninsula and in the Detroit area.
